About Club Kotara

Club Kotara is a well-established and community-focused bowling club. With a growing membership base and a progressive board who pride ourselves on delivering excellent hospitality, quality events, and a welcoming space for members and guests alike. We are on a mission to move this club into 2025 and beyond!

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Secretary Manager to oversee the daily operations of Club Kotara and drive its future growth. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong business acumen, exceptional people management skills, and a passion for community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the club’s day-to-day operations, ensuring a high standard of service across all departments

Hands on bar work and service.

Manage club finances, including budgeting, reporting, and ensuring financial sustainability

Lead, develop, and support staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment

Drive membership growth, community engagement, and event initiatives

Maintain compliance with liquor, gaming, and workplace regulations (RSA & RCG essential)

Work closely with the Board of Directors to implement strategic goals and ensure long-term success

Develop and maintain relationships with members, suppliers, and key stakeholders

About You

Previous experience in a club, hospitality, or venue management role

Strong financial and business management skills

Excellent leadership and team-building abilities

Knowledge of club operations, including gaming and licensing requirements

A proactive and community-focused mindset

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required
