Job Summary
As a Fire Services Technician, you will undertake diverse tasks, learning to service a range of fire equipment across various building types while gaining a comprehensive understanding of Australian Fire Standards and legislative requirements.
Based in and around Melbourne and regional Victoria, you will do quite a lot of driving. Depending on your previous experience and skills, we will encourage and offer extra training.
What you’ll be doing on a daily basis:
- Servicing of fire detection and alarm systems, fault finding and investigation
- Servicing of fire extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, blankets, and exit and emergency lighting
- Quoting on new buildings; attending sites, liaising with facility and Owners Corporation managers
- Defect and rectification work
- Working closely with the bookings and account management team.
Qualities were looking for:
- An ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to solve problems and offer solutions.
- A quick learner with ability to adapt.
- Strong work ethic with a desire to develop skills.
Previous trade experience is desired, but not required.
