Location: Parramatta
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 10/10/2025
Pay Rate: $476.58 Per Day + Super
Hours: 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
Required Checks: 2 Reference Checks, Police Check

About the Role
WaterNSW is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Officer to join our team in Parramatta. This role is responsible for processing and coordinating customer transactions, providing specialist service, and offering general advice on business requirements. The successful candidate will support WaterNSW’s operations by responding to inquiries and resolving issues efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety First: Prioritize the safety of all team members and role model safe behaviors at all times.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Provide high-quality service and information to customers and stakeholders, enhancing their understanding of regulatory requirements and options for managing water access licences and approvals.
  • Enquiry Management: Evaluate customer needs, research information, and provide accurate responses to inquiries and complaints in line with legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Transaction Processing: Accept, process, and coordinate customer transactions promptly and in accordance with relevant procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve customer issues where possible, or escalate appropriately, following established procedures for effective resolution.
  • Data Management: Collect and record data accurately in business systems to support reporting and information-sharing needs.
  • Process Improvement: Utilize existing processes efficiently and contribute insights for operational performance improvements.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering quality customer service.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
  • Qualifications: Current NSW Driver’s Licence.
  • Skills & Experience:

Desirable Skills

  • Awareness of legislative requirements and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in a call centre environment.
  • Experience working in government or highly regulated industries.
