About the role

The purpose of the role is to undertake a range of duties which provide an effective and confidential administrative service as directed by the Line Manager and Nurse Unity Manager within Community and Oral Health.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values, as outlined below.
  • Ensure the client confidentiality is always maintained in accordance with Queensland Health Policy.
  • Provide high quality administration support to frontline clinical staff, and to supply a range of administration duties required to deliver client focused, high quality and efficient services.
  • Achieves results by delivering effective outcomes and assuming accountability.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, standards and guidelines relevant to the position, including human resource management, workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies.
  • Provide confidential administrative and secretarial support including the production of high-quality documents and records, enquiry screening and diary management as required, including the timely provision of necessary records and documentation required by the Nurse Unit Manager.
  • Demonstrate high work ethics, the ability to work autonomously with a high level of pride in their work and participate as a positive member within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective time management with the ability to balance priorities and work on multiple tasks, completing work in an effective and efficient manner and communicating early if there are circumstances that will prevent from meeting deadlines.
