The Role
- Office-based CA role (with flexibility to WFH one day/week or visit site as desired)
- Full cradle-to-grave contract administration
- Subcontractor procurement and negotiation
- Accurate weekly forecasting and visibility of numbers
- Profitability oversight and driving commercial outcomes
- Talking to subbies, calling stakeholders, and solving problems proactively
- Able to read, interpret and administer the contract thoroughly and deliver outcomes
- Manage all subcontractor claims, variations and processing of invoices in line with payment schedules
- Provide support to your PM on commercial and financial matters
- Identity and manage risk
- Strong knowledge local councils, certifiers, QBCC
The Person
- 3+ years' experience as a Contracts Administrator on Commercial projects
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management and/or Quantity Surveying – desirable
- Turnkey CA who can independently run and administer contracts
- Must be able to read contracts, identify key items (e.g., possession dates, contract value, payment terms)
- Clear understanding of how to manage a contract variation properly
- Soft skills - must be able to talk to people, hustle, and build relationships
- Commercially astute and able to capitalise on commercial opportunities
- A team player, brings a great attitude and work ethic into the group
