Adecco Australia Pty Ltd
Posted 2 days ago
Based in Parramatta and reporting to the National Service Manager, this role is the key link between the workshop, field service technicians, and customers across Australia and New Zealand. You'll provide advanced technical support, coordinate service and pre-delivery operations, and represent the brand’s high standards of quality and reliability. With a tight-knit team of 8–9 technicians locally and another 6 interstate, you’ll help ensure service continuity and excellence in the field.
About Us
Adecco is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client—a global innovator in specialised lifting technologies—for a seasoned Technical Service Support Specialist to join their growing national team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact role that supports field service technicians and customers across ANZ, while representing an iconic brand with a reputation for engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
This position offers a strong hourly rate ($60–$70/hour depending on experience), a company vehicle, and eligibility for an annual bonus (typically one month’s salary, subject to company performance). You’ll be joining a business with clear growth plans, having just moved into a facility three times the size of their previous site, with long-term stability and plenty of room to grow. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide phone-based technical support to field technicians and customers, including diagnostic guidance and parts identification.
- Attend and resolve field breakdowns (approximately once a month).
- Liaise with internal teams including the parts department, sales, and service management to ensure timely job completion.
- Manage and document service bulletins, updates, and repairs in line with safety and product reliability standards.
- Coordinate new machine pre-delivery inspections and support operator familiarisation.
- Act as the technical conduit between factory support teams, customers, and internal stakeholders across Australia, New Zealand, and occasionally WA.
- Investigate and resolve complex warranty issues, and escalate feedback to engineering teams.
- Support ongoing training and mentoring for field technicians.
Your Profile
We’re seeking a passionate, technically skilled professional with a strong service mindset and advanced troubleshooting abilities. Ideally, you’ve supported heavy equipment, plant, or crane machinery—either OEM or from a similar manufacturer—and you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. To be successful, you’ll bring:
- 5+ years in technical support/service roles within heavy equipment, crane, or similar industries.
- A trade qualification in Mechanical, Auto Electrical, Diesel Mechanics, or similar.
- Expertise in diagnostics and fault-finding (electrical, hydraulic, engine, driveline).
- High-level Canbus, automotive electrical, and schematic-reading capabilities.
- Previous experience coordinating service teams, workflows, or technical escalations.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused attitude.
- Willingness to travel interstate or to NZ occasionally (minimal).
Please note: This role does not require an A-grade electrical licence, but trade certification and relevant technical experience are essential.
What's on Offer?
If you're passionate about machinery, love solving technical challenges, and want to work with a business that values what you bring to the table—this could be your perfect next step. You can look forward to:
- Hourly Rate: $60–$65 + super
- Vehicle: Fully maintained company vehicle provided.
- Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus (equivalent to approx. 1 month’s salary).
- Culture: Passionate, hard-working team with a strong work ethic and genuine commitment to quality.
- Stability: Join a global brand in expansion mode, with a strong national service footprint and new state-of-the-art facility.
How to Apply?
This is a crucial hire, and our client is highly selective—seeking not just technical excellence, but the right personality fit for a strong, collaborative team. Interviews will be face-to-face with the National Service Manager and Workshop Supervisor, followed by HR.
To apply, submit your updated resume via the link or email [email protected] for a confidential discussion.
Pre-employment checks include reference checks, a medical (with drug & alcohol screening), and a police clearance.
