About the Role:
We are seeking a Payroll Officer for a 6-month contract to join a busy team. This role involves managing payroll for 160 casual employees on a weekly basis under an Enterprise Agreement (EA) and 15 employees under the Clerks Award. The payroll process is managed using Chris 21 and is finalised by the Melbourne Corporate team. This position focusses on approximately 75% of the payroll process, with the final processing handled by the Melbourne team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for 160 casual employees and 15 employees under the Clerks Award
• Ensure compliance with relevant awards and agreements
• Collaborate with the Melbourne Corporate team to finalise payroll
• Maintain accurate payroll records and reports
• Assist with payroll queries and issues

About You:

• Previous experience in payroll processing
• Familiarity with Chris 21 or similar payroll systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
