Payroll Officer - Short-Term Opportunity

🛡 Requirement: Current National Police Clearance

💲 $37-$38 Hourly

Excel Recruitment are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join SA Government in the Shared Sector, Payroll Services team on a short-term basis. Reporting to the Operational Team Leader, you will play an important role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of fortnightly payroll for shared sector employees.

About the Role and the Team:
The Shared Sector Payroll Services team is responsible for delivering accurate and efficient payroll services for a diverse group of employees across the sector. As a Payroll Officer, you will be part of a supportive and collaborative team committed to excellence in service delivery and process integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate processing of fortnightly payroll
• Data entry with a high level of speed and accuracy
• Providing exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders
• Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures
• Assisting with payroll reporting and documentation as required

Candidate Requirements:

• A current National Police Clearance is mandatory (dated within the last 12 months)
• Payroll experience is highly desirable
• Experience using CHRIS21 is highly desirable
• Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Proven ability to manage large workloads and meet deadlines
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Assignment until the 29th of June 2025.
