Our client, an award-winning technology consultancy, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a permanent position.

You will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance network environment, ensuring it scales to meet our evolving business demands. Your deep understanding of network protocols and security practices will be crucial in building a reliable and secure digital foundation.

What You'll Do:

• Architect and deploy scalable, high-availability network infrastructures, proactively identifying optimization opportunities and mitigating risks through thorough assessments.
• Implement and enforce robust network security measures (firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention), diligently monitor incidents, investigate breaches, and develop proactive security enhancements.
• Proactively maintain optimal network performance and uptime, expertly troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Manage network equipment and software (routers, switches, load balancers, management tools).
• Lead network projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery. Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope and create detailed project plans with timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Mentor junior network engineers, sharing expertise and fostering their growth. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to promote communication and teamwork.
• Create comprehensive network documentation (diagrams, configurations, procedures) and generate regular reports on performance, security, and project status.

What You'll Bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
• A minimum of 10 years of proven, hands-on experience as a Network Engineer, demonstrating expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network environments.
• In-depth mastery of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and QoS.
• A strong foundational understanding of network security principles and technologies, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Practical experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Cisco Prime).
• Familiarity with cloud networking concepts, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), CISCO expertise and virtualization technologies is highly desirable.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent are highly preferred.
• A strong dedication to continuous learning and staying abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies.
