About the Role
Join our client’s team as a Senior Network Engineer where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining, assuring, and improving their cutting-edge digital network. This hands-on position is tailored for individuals with ideally 10 years of engineering experience in a Service Provider environment.
Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will:
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network incidents, including interactions with third-party vendors.
- Plan and implement changes to the network to ensure minimal service disruptions while maintaining optimal performance through proactive monitoring.
- Act as a technical escalation point for customer queries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Manage a diverse range of network infrastructure including routers and switches from Cisco, MikroTik, Dell, and Fortinet.
- Engage in hands-on commissioning of new sites and devices, playing a crucial role in network expansion and service provisioning.
- Provide after-hours support as required for network impacts and change management.
- Contribute to and maintain documentation and knowledge bases to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience
We are looking for applicants who have:
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in network operations or engineering, preferably within a service provider context.
- Strong knowledge of IP addressing, TCP/IP, and network routing protocols, including BGP and ISIS.
- Experience configuring and managing Cisco and MikroTik hardware.
- Familiarity with various network access technologies including G.fast, XGS, and wireless technologies.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, or JNCIP are highly advantageous.
- An ability to work well under pressure and excellent problem-solving skills.
- You must be a PR or Citizen to apply for this role.
- This role does require to work to a roster/shift work with some on call/critical system support, currently evening shifts will be work from home
