Senior Network Engineer

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will provide support across core network (routing/switching), wireless, load balancing, and network/application security technologies. You will be responsible for incident management, platform administration, capacity management, fault analysis, and ensuring all issues are prioritised and resolved in line with customer SLAs. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong technical expertise, clear communication, and the ability to deliver solutions confidently across a broad range of technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Log, categorise, prioritise, and manage incidents and service requests via ITSM tools.

Proactively monitor networks and respond to alerts, escalating or resolving incidents as needed.

Provide 2nd level support, diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently.

Communicate professionally with customers via phone and email, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Skills & Experience:

5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting core networking, wireless, and network/application security technologies.

Strong expertise in Cisco or Juniper routing and switching.

Experience with Cisco security solutions (ASA, ISE); relevant certifications preferred.

Familiarity with load balancing technologies such as F5 or NetScaler.

Customer-facing experience with a focus on understanding business and technical requirements.

Technical Certifications:

Industry certifications in two or more of the following:

Cisco (CCNP, CCIE)

Juniper (JNCIA, JNCIE)

Palo Alto (PCNSE)

Experience with ServiceNow and network management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) is highly desirable.
