About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting a range of Indian dishes with a high level of attention to quality, flavour, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute daily menu offerings, including entrees, mains, tandoori items, and accompaniments

Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes in accordance with our established recipes and presentation standards

Monitor food quality, portion control, and kitchen hygiene to meet health and safety regulations

Supervise and train junior kitchen staff and ensure smooth kitchen operations during service

Manage food inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste

Adapt dishes to suit customer dietary requirements or special requests when required

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and kitchen cleanliness at all times

Skills & Experience Required:

Minimum of Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent work experience

At least 1 year of full-time experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen, preferably with experience in Indian cuisine

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously

Strong leadership and communication skills

Deep understanding of Indian spices, cooking techniques (including use of tandoor), and regional dishes

Excellent time management and attention to detail
