About the Role

As Team Leader, you will head up a team of Educators, with whom you will work collaboratively to drive the learning and development of the children entrusted to your care. You will benefit from an age-appropriate environment as well where the RIE approach is embedded into daily practice.

• Robust communication and relationship building skills
• Ready to implement contemporary, evidence-informed pedagogy
• Open to our innovative and unique way of programming and practice
• Strong leader, inclusive of others, and brings a positive attitude every day
• Interest in/passion for and motivation to actively model and embed the RIE approach
• Enthusiastic, dedicated and reliable professional who is relentless in the pursuit of excellence for children and willing to grow with the service
• Flair for building and maintaining positive relationships and meaningful connections with colleagues, families, children, and the wider community.

Essential Criteria:

• Valid Blue Card
• Understanding of contemporary child-safe practices
• Available 5 days a week for full-time work all hours the service is operational
• Strong proven Team/Room Leader/Lead Educator and/or Early Childhood Teaching experience, ideally with the Kindy age group (or similar)
• Current relevant First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates, as well as Child Protection training completed within the last 12 months, specifically CHCPRT025 - 'Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk' (or willing to obtain/refresh as required)
• Recognised Early Childhood Teaching (ECT) degree, or working towards, depending on course progress. We are also open to considering strong Cert III and/or Diploma candidates for casual work.
