About the role

Steelrig Fabrication Pty Ltd, a leading provider of structural steel fabrication services, is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Detailer with experience in Tekla Structures to join their dynamic and growing team in Dandenong South. This is a full-time onsite roll but some flexibility will be negotiable.

What you'll be doing

Producing detailed 3D models and 2D shop drawings using Tekla Structures software

Interpreting engineering designs and specifications to create accurate steel fabrication drawings compliant with industry standards

Collaborating with the clients, engineers and production team to ensure drawings meet project requirements

Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that arise during the detailing process

Maintaining detailed records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle

Assisting the estimating team with matierial take offs

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Structural Steel Detailer, preferably using Tekla Structures

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and standards

Excellent working knowledge of steel fabrication techniques and construction methods

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot design issues

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Tertiary qualification in Structural Engineering, Drafting, or a related field is highly desirable
