About the Role:

A senior member of our delivery team is retiring and we are looking for a replacement for an immediate start.

We are seeking someone who has a strong background in steel construction that can design and detail a commercial shed in Tekla, whilst also providing senior leadership to the rest of the delivery team.

In this important role you will communicate with the sales team, and provide leadership to other draftspeople, planners, engineers, fabricators and builders to coordinate the building’s design and delivery.

Your base will be our HQ in Mulgrave, but there will be some travel to sites required from time to time.

We are looking for someone who we can empower with this leadership responsibility, and who will be self-learning and self-motivated to take ownership and be successful in the role. Of course we will do our best to provide you with all the support we can.

Key responsibilities include:

Modelling and detailing using Tekla Structures software

Providing senior leadership to the drafting and operations team including planning, fabricating, and building

Developing, standardising, and improving detailing and operations processes

You will also need:

To be methodical, detail-oriented, and accurate

Have a strong background in steel construction

Good experience detailing in Tekla

Ideally experience in AutoCAD as well

An interest in taking responsibility for a very important function and IP in our business

An otherwise well-rounded skillset including good leadership, communication, problem solving, people skills and stakeholder management
