The Opportunity:
We have an exciting full-time, permanent opportunity for an experienced Workshop Leading Hand or Senior Mechanic at our Mackay Branch. Lead and mentor a team of heavy vehicle and diesel mechanics to deliver high-quality service while meeting productivity and safety targets.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and mentor mechanics and apprentices, fostering their development.
• Oversee daily service work, including diagnosis, servicing, and repairs.
• Manage workshop operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Support the leadership team with reports and timekeeping.
• Ensure top-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

About You:

• 3+ years’ experience in the heavy vehicle or engine industry.
• Trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic (or similar).
• Previous Leading Hand or Senior Mechanic experience is highly desirable.
• HR license (or ability to obtain one).
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Experience with Western Star, MAN, MTU, Dennis Eagle, Detroit Diesel, and Allison product lines.
