Exciting opportunity to lead our team!
OPS are seeking an experienced Workshop Leading Hand to join our team in Bibra Lake, coordinating our workshop and field service teams.
We are seeking a candidate who can champion the safe, professional and efficient leadership of the maintenance workshop in Bibra lake with the support of the Service & Technical Manager.
Responsibilities
Supervise and lead all Workshop operations at the facility, providing feedback to the Service and Technical Manager on operational performance of all on-site staff and contractors.
Assist with coordination, management and scheduling of activities to ensure equipment and resources are efficiently utilised to meet workshop and / or production outcomes.
Identify and report on job progress to ensure any deviation from planned works is identified and communicated as soon as practicable.
Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to ensure work orders have the correct tasks, bills of material, and budgets.
Assist where required with repairs, predelivery inspections on new equipment, condition inspections on used, traded and hire fleet equipment, modifications, upgrades, overhauls and preventative maintenance to general mineral processing, bulk materials handling, forestry and recycling plant and equipment.
Ensure tooling is calibrated by due dates, maintained, and in adequate supply to safely perform the work in accordance with OPS requirements.
Conduct regular safety interactions with and on behalf of the team as required.
Review and recommend improvements to existing procedures, to encourage the adoption of best practice and standardisation across all OPS operations.
About you
Trades Qualification
Full unrestricted ‘C’ Class Driver’s License – HR and forklift licences desirable
A minimum 2 years post training experience, with experience in industrial mobile plant, mineral processing, or bulk materials handling equipment preferable
Strong leadership experience.
Proactive and self-motivated
Good knowledge of maintenance operations and methods in different environments.
Ability to build strong working relationships.
