As our business continues to expand, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson to join our dynamic team.

About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson to assist with the design and drafting of our camper trailers and caravan product range. The successful candidate will work closely with our engineering and production teams to produce accurate technical drawings, support product development, and ensure designs meet manufacturing and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models for caravan and trailer components using CAD software.

· Update and revise existing technical drawings to reflect design improvements and manufacturing changes.

· Assist engineers in developing design solutions, component layouts, and assembly drawings.

· Create technical documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs) and specifications for production.

· Liaise with production teams to resolve design-related issues and ensure manufacturability.

· Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Australian Design Rules (ADRs) and industry standards.

· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in design and drafting processes.

Skills and Experience:

· Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering Drafting, Design Drafting, or a related field.

· Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.

· Previous experience in mechanical drafting, ideally within manufacturing, automotive, or caravan/trailer industries.

· Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and fabrication methods.

· Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and standards.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
