About the role

Join Kondalilla Eco Resort as our new Chef. In this full-time role, you will be in a hands-on role supporting the kitchen team and helping to overseeing the creation of delectable meals for our guests at our beautiful resort in Flaxton, Queensland. Please note: there is no onsite staff accommodation available.

What you'll be doing

Develop and implement innovative seasonal menus that showcase the best of local produce

Lead, train and motivate a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff

Ensure efficient kitchen operations and high food quality standards are maintained

Manage food costs, inventory and ordering to optimise profitability

Foster a positive, collaborative team environment in the kitchen

Liaise with restaurant management to deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests

What we're looking for

Significant experience as a Chef in a high-quality restaurant or resort setting

Formal culinary training and qualifications

Excellent knowledge of food trends, preparation techniques and presentation

Strong leadership and people management skills

Ability to work calmly under pressure and to tight deadlines

Passion for creating innovative, flavoursome dishes

Commitment to using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients
