About the Position
The Production Assistant is a critical role that is responsible for producing high quality embroidery, screen printing, vinyl printing garments for various clients.
- Learning the use of various production machines to produce garments
- Assistant the business owners in warehouse management and stock management
- Maintaining a high standard of workplace cleanliness, health and safety, customer service and quality of product
- Liaising with clients about graphic design and other elements, answering phones and other administration tasks
- Packing and unpacking of stock and inventory management
- General tidy and upkeep of internal warehouse and store
The right person will have:
- Experience in embroidery, vinyl printing or screen printing (desired but not required)
- Good level of computer skills with some basic graphic design knowledge (we currently use Corel Draw)
- You have a great level of attention to detail and accuracy, and a high care factor for quality
- Dependability, reliability and pride in your work is paramount
About Brandit Promotions
Karla Turner created her business “Brandit Promotions” in 2001 from her home in Brisbane, after achieving qualifications in garment construction and design.
Karla started with a couple of single head embroidery, targeting trade, sports clubs, corporate and anyone who needed a logo on any form of apparel.
As the business grew, so did the variation of requests and a realisation of the breadth of promotional products could be delivered. Quality was the focus, (as you learn from experience) to deliver product and create branding beyond the customers’ expectation.
To control quality, Karla’s mentality was to provide almost all branding inhouse, embroidery, screenprint, vinyl print etc. More equipment was purchased, along with staff to manage the increased workload.
After 17 very successful years, Karla and her Family decided to relocate to Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast. A new building, new direction, more equipment, new website, different adventures.
With this change, Karla’s husband David has now joined the journey, he spent 25 years managing electrical wholesale businesses. The business has continued to grow since the move on the back of Brandit’s loyal customer group as the base and new clients each week on the Sunshine Coast.
Karla’s vision of quality and a desire to remain innovative with product, equipment and web site keeps Brandit at the forefront of customer service. Brandit is committed to delivering stylish, comfortable, practical apparel for clients and staff, along with professional clear and clean branding. Brandit is Proudly Australian Family-owned.
Role Particulars
- This is a casual position, 3 days per week
- Hours may vary (and can be flexible) but will mostly be 10am - 3pm (with a minimum of 3 hours per week)
- Pay rate will be from $30-$31ph depending on experience
