About the role

The Production Assistant will join a small team at our dog treat processing and packing facility.

Key responsibilities:

Operating filler machine.

Fill rolls with raw meat.

Dip rolls, sort and place onto racks.

Put racks onto trolley ready for the oven.

Inspect prepared rolls and report quality issues to the Supervisor.

Wash and sanitise processing equipment and work area.

Assist with packing finished products.

The candidate:

Must love dogs!

Have experience in a fast paced food production or manufacturing environment, preferably in a meat processing role.

Willing to work on rotation in the production area.

Proficient machine operation skills or the willingness to learn.

Practical knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitisation and quality standards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Initiative, attention to detail and time management skills.

Ability to handle raw meat products.

Ability to work in a cold and hot environment (when ovens are in operation).

Physically fit and able to lift up to 15KG.

A Certificate II or above in Meat Processing or relevant qualification is highly regarded.

Q Fever vaccination or willingness to participate in the vaccination process.
