We are currently working with a large QLD Govt department on the Gold Coast to assist them in sourcing an experienced Project Support Officer to join their large project team. The purpose of this role is to provide high level support services to project managers and team members to enhance the timely and effective delivery of project/s, ensuring compliance with legislation, organisational policies and procedures. This is a long term 12-month contract opportunity, with a 12 month extension highly likely and will be a part time role (3 days per week/22.5 hrs).

Some of your responsibilities will include:

· Provide high level administrative support to project managers and team members, including coordinating team meetings, taking and distributing minutes, preparing documents and reports, establishing and maintaining spreadsheets and registers and providing timely information, updates and presentations as required.

· Project support for financial approval documentation, contract administration systems and procurement related activities. Including preparation of procurement documentation, liaising with external parties and assisting with tender processes in alignment with the departmental procurement business and governance framework.

· Ensure infrastructure project documentation is accurately compiled, tracked and recorded, and follow up to ensure timely delivery and approvals within set timeframes.

· Provide administrative support to various Project Managers to ensure tasks are completed within specified deadlines.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions

· Current holder of a “C” class driver’s licence

· Required to undergo employment screening (for example a criminal history check)

· High level of competency in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

· A basic knowledge and understanding of procurement/ finance would be desirable.

· Ability to maintain effective communication and relationships between internal and external stakeholders
