AWX are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Support Engagement Officers for work in Cairns. A main requirement is for people who fit our culture with a positive "CAN DO" attitude and be self-motivated.

Project Support Officer (Engagement) Officer

The successful candidate will be part of the Engagement Team that provides community engagement services to the Program.
As part of this opportunity, the successful candidate will be required to perform the following-

• Attend community and engagement events as the representative of the eradication program including set up and breakdown of stalls and displays.
• Undertake logistical work for set up and delivery of project events, and assist in developing associated resources e.g. printing and assembly of attendee packs etc.
• Support the development, distribution and management of documentation and communication materials.
• Monitor timeframes to ensure event milestones stay on target; escalate matters in a timely manner and assist in implementing the manager's decisions.
• Provide accurate information in response to enquiries regarding the project during events; or re-direct as appropriate.
• Collate stakeholder input and feedback gathered during events and maintain records of attendee numbers to evaluate success of events and activities.

Highly Desirable to this role are:

• A current unrestricted "C" Class Driver's Licence.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to regularly work weekends and outside of normal hours (i.e. early starts and/or evenings) as standard working hours.
• Confidence in engaging with the public.
• The ability to manage the lifting, movement and set up/pack down of display equipment such as a marquee.
• Ability to obtain and retain a current Working with Children card (Blue Card).
