Gameology is currently seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Retail Store Manager to join our growing and highly-skilled team at our Clayton South Store on a full-time basis. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be joining our supportive and collaborative team with a strong commitment to providing quality service. PURPOSE:
To increase brand loyalty and profit results by cultivating an excellent in-store experience for Gameology customers, including managing team achievement of KPIs in line with company targets. Supporting our Online and Warehouse teams by developing efficient cross-department procedure and training staff.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Sales & In-store Experience:
Maximizing profitability by setting and exceeding achievable sales targets
Ensuring customers are provided with excellent service at all times
Ensuring escalated inquiries are dealt with quickly and professionally to achieve excellent customer retention
Cash flow management
Engaging in Visual Merchandising
Inventory Management:
Maintain high stock accuracy, including conducting regular stocktakes
Monitor stock release dates to ensure embargo is not breached
Organise and maintain Click & Collect order backlog
Order stock directly to store to ensure our location is consistently full of sellable product
Store Events & Promotions:
Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to establish and build weekly gaming events
Prepare promotional materials and displays as necessary
Drive sales by planning product orders in-line with events
Train staff to effectively run events and maximise sales
Team Leadership & Training:
Lead staff to success by developing procedure and engaging in regular training towards achieving team KPIs, including upselling techniques
Ensure staff are achieving their full potential by scheduling daily tasks and rosters in advance
Maintain a pleasant working environment by connecting with staff and managing expectations in line with company requirements
Ensure all staff are equipped to handle escalated inquiries where necessary
Communication & Reporting:
Compile team performance reports for senior management to assist in forecast planning
Monitor task management programs and emails regularly to ensure inquiries/issues are resolved efficiently and effectively
Communicate directly with senior management to ensure set goals are achievable by deadline
Liaise with other departments to optimise process to ensure customers and staff receive accurate and timely information/resolutions
