Specialist Practice - Vascular Surgeon

A fantastic front office position has become available for a positive, motivated and experienced Medical Receptionist in our Subiaco practice.

Our practice is an established leading vascular practice with a positive, friendly & supportive work environment. We are seeking a like minded enthusiastic person with long term commitment.

Candidate needs to be comfortable working independently in a small but busy practice and enjoy speaking and liaising with patients on the phone.

Must have flexibility to adapt to doctor’s work requirements and cover staff.

Approximately 3-4 days per week

Essential criteria

Prior medical receptionist/secretary experience in medical administration/reception role

Strong computer skills with Genie experience

Compassionate and professional manner with patients in person and on the phone

Immaculate attention to detail

Ability to multitask in busy patient clinics

Excellent time management & organisational skills

Honest and reliable

Happy to do extra & willing to learn

Easy to adjust to new workflow and expected protocols at the practice

Ability to work independently with initiative and as a team member

Principal Duties

General administrative duties: handle incoming phone calls & emails and respond to patient inquiries

Admin support during clinic sessions providing a welcoming experience greeting patients, processing payments, and generating invoices

Organising patient referrals & co-ordinating appointments in a timely manner

Maintaining electronic patient records (obtaining patient information, scanning documents)

Liaising and corresponding with patients, GP's and other Specialists

General office duties

Support senior staff with various tasks as needed

You must be flexible to work the days and hours according to the practice’s needs and in return we offer the ability to enjoy 1-2 weeks off each time the doctor is away in addition to the annual Christmas/New Year closure.
