Position

Seeking a professional and highly organised Governance Officer to support our Board, Committees, and Executive Team. Reporting to the CEO, you will ensure that governance practices meet constitutional, legal, and regulatory obligations, while also leading corporate documentation, policy oversight, and supporting board elections and meeting coordination. This is a central and trusted role in the leadership of the organisation.

Profile

• Extensive experience in a senior governance, company secretariat, or executive support role
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks, corporate compliance, and regulatory reporting
• Exceptional administrative, coordination, and communication skills
• Experience preparing board papers, taking minutes, and managing policy registers
• A high level of discretion, professionalism, and initiative
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems
• Qualifications in governance, legal, or related fields (AICD or similar preferred)
• Experience in the higher education or NFP sector is highly regarded
