Administration Officer – Majella Catholic Primary School, Balga
Part-Time Position – 16 hours per week (Start time 7:30am – 11.30am over 4 days). Initially to be advertised through to 31 December 2025, there is every possibility that the role becomes an ongoing position in the school.
Majella Catholic Primary School is a single-stream, co-educational primary school with an enrolment of approximately 250 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Located in the northern Perth suburb of Balga, the school serves a highly multicultural community, with over 85% of students coming from Language Backgrounds Other Than English (LBOTE).
The school also hosts an onsite Intensive English Centre (IEC), catering to students in Years 1–6 who are in the early stages of developing their English language proficiency. We embrace trauma-informed practices that prioritise student wellbeing, engagement, and a positive learning environment.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and organised Administration Officer to join our team in a part-time capacity. The successful applicant will be a key point of contact for both the school and IEC, supporting administrative processes and front office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with all enrolments for entry into the onsite Intensive English Centre, including responding to enquiries, collecting and processing necessary enrolment documentation.
Undertake general administrative tasks related to the operation of the IEC.
Support the front office by handling enquiries, assisting with student welfare matters, and providing administrative assistance to other staff members as required.
Contribute to a cohesive and collaborative office environment, working effectively as part of a unified team.
Essential Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience in administrative roles, preferably within a school or similar setting.
• Working experience using information databases and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with students, families, and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with professionalism.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to support the values and mission of Majella Catholic Primary School.
