An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced people leader to join our production team based in North Ryde, Sydney.

As one of our Production Supervisors, you will report to the Production Manager and be responsible for:

Engaging, developing and leading a team of 15+ hearing aid production technicians to drive a high-performance culture and ensure we achieve the highest standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency

Setting day-to-day team objectives to ensure we deliver on our operational plans and KPIs

Managing production capacity and resources according to forecasted demand

Working collaboratively with our local production, logistics and customer care teams, as well as our offshore team in China and Malaysia

Acting as an escalation point for members of the production team

Working with the Production Manager and Quality team to ensure continuous improvement of manufacturing process and product quality as well as Lean Manufacturing Requirements.

Communicating with customers via telephone and/or email to ensure order fulfilment and assist with technical customer queries

Implementing HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) system to ensure employee and production safety

Managing the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, training, setting individual targets, coaching and developing, performance and reward, team building, employee engagement, and offboarding.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Demonstrated success leading a team in a production environment, including responsibility for meeting team/company KPIs, driving engagement and performance, and managing the employee lifecycle (onboarding, training and development, performance management, offboarding etc)

Genuine passion for driving employee engagement and coaching and developing others to be the best they can be

Previous experience in manufacturing (ear mould, hearing instrument, electronic device repair or other medical device) will be highly regarded

Tertiary qualification in a technical field and/or business leadership (highly regarded)

Knowledge/experience with ISO 13485

Solid business acumen

Customer centric mindset

Continuous improvement orientation

Strong PC skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Knowledge of Navision, file maker pro, Esculpting software (highly regarded)
