Operations Supervisor – Steel Coils

My client has over the past 50 years, grown and developed a successful Steel Coil Sales & Distribution business and is well located in Eastern Creek to service both the busy Greater Sydney Metro & also Regional NSW.

This privately owned company promotes an "Awesome" range of competitive, quality, technically supported products.

My client offers customized service solutions to Rollformers, Fabricators and the general steel industry typically for supplying finished product to the Commercial and Residential building market segment.

Reporting to the State Operations Manager, you are a motivated, organized Operations Supervisor, who can demonstrate capabilities in successfully and safely managing a small team unloading, storing, handling and loading a variety of steel coils, whilst ensuring the company objectives and operational daily targets are achieved.

- You will be responsible for supervising day shift operations typically from 7am to 3pm, including safety, workflow planning, production quality, delivery planning for a team of circa 10-15 employees including 7 company truck drivers.

Production equipment includes a Steel Slitter machine and a Steel Shear Line, both of which are serviced by an Overhead gantry crane and several forklifts

You possess;
• The ability to communicate with, build and lead a diverse team with positivity and fairness.
• Strong planning, problem solving and resolution skills.
• A clear understanding and expertise in Workplace health and safety practices, as they apply to steel fabrication operations.
• Competent skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
