Overview of role:
Coliban Water provides water, sewage and reclaimed water services to 49 towns in North Central Victoria. Based in beautiful Bendigo, we are one of the largest Victorian regional urban water corporations.
As our new Concept Development Project Manager, you will undertake end to end project management from preparing comprehensive project plans through to managing consultancies to achieve project objectives.
As part of our Concept Development team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of water & wastewater infrastructure projects by designing sustainable, efficient and cost-effective assets. You will be responsible for leading project teams in developing detailed designs, tender documents and business cases to enable the wider infrastructure delivery team to tender for work.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Concept Development Project Manager, you’ll be accountable for:
- Management of allocated projects to prepare project plans.
- Prepare comprehensive project briefs and assess consultant tenders.
- Manage consultancies to ensure project objectives are met on time and to budget.
- Design Development and technical specifications for capital projects in the Capital Investment program.
- Further develop concept design into detailed solutions to obtain external approvals and allow the infrastructure Delivery team to tender for works.
- Ensure all stakeholders are identified, engaged, expectations managed and interactions build confidence in Coliban Water.
About you:
- Coliban water is a tight-knit team with a great culture. First and foremost, we’re looking for someone with well-developed interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, along with the ability to deliver project management solutions on time and to budget and specification.
- Tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience in project management and design development particularly in relation to the water industry.
- Valid and current Australian workers’ rights.
- Valid Driver’s license.

Salary:
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 4, $93,548 - $112,895 + superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.

Coliban Water was established on July 1, 1992 under the Water Act 1989 as a Regional Urban Water Authority.
Coliban Region Water Authority became the Coliban Region Water Corporation on July 1, 2007.
The Corporation is responsible to the Minister for Water, the Hon Lisa Neville MP, and our shareholder is the Victorian Government.
We are one of the larger Victorian Regional urban water corporations.
We manage, maintain and operate 35 reservoirs and water storage basins across North-Central Victoria and provide water and wastewater services to rural and urban customers across an area of 16,550 sqkm.
Our service region includes 49 towns, extending from Cohuna and Echuca in the north to Kyneton and Trentham in the south.
The western boundary incorporates Boort, Wedderburn, Bealiba and Dunolly and the eastern boundary includes Heathcote and Tooborac.
