About Our Client

Our client is now recruiting an experienced HSE Advisor on a FIFO 2:1 basis to oversee all compliance and safety matters across their camp construction projects at various locations. This role focuses on ensuring HSEQ standards are met, fostering a zero-harm culture, and maintaining a safe, compliant working environment throughout the refurbishment process.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) strategies specific to camp refurb projects.
  • Drive a safe working environment by promoting risk management, injury prevention, and continuous safety improvement.
  • Enhance and maintain the HSE Management System, tailoring processes to the nuances of refurbishment work.
  • Conduct risk assessments, monitor environmental and regulatory compliance, and oversee injury management and rehabilitation.
  • Advise on and update internal policies, procedures, and standards to reflect the dynamic requirements of camp refurbishment.
  • Monitor legislative changes and implement necessary measures to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Ensure proper systems and protocols are in place for hazardous refurbishment activities.
  • Train and mentor staff in safety practices and compliance procedures.
  • Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action management.
  • Achieve HSE targets and objectives, ensuring regular and transparent reporting to senior management.
  • Manage the HSE Online Management System to track compliance and performance metrics.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Minimum Diploma in OHS or WHS.
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessing – Qualified Trainer and Assessor.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in camp refurbishment, maintenance, or related construction projects.
  • Previous FIFO experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Successful completion of drug and alcohol screening.
  • Ability to pass a full medical, including muscular fitness and overall physical assessment.
