About the Role:
WorkPac are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor on behalf of our client Rio Tinto to support leaders, employees, and contract partners in maintaining a safe work environment. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders, provide coaching, and implement health and safety programs that align with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Support risk reduction initiatives across operations
Provide guidance on incident management and investigation processes
Facilitate and coach risk assessments to enhance workplace safety
Champion Critical Risk Management and leadership safety programs
Support fundamental health and safety initiatives, training and coaching for key activities and processes, such as Shift Starts, Quality Safety Interactions, Critical Risk Management, and other Leadership in Field programs.
Deliver training and coaching on key health and safety processes
Assist with reporting and data analysis to track safety performance
Skills and Experience Required:
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (beneficial)
Full manual ‘C’ class driver’s license
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to plan, coordinate, and adapt in a dynamic environment
Self-motivated with problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Technologically intuitive with safety and reporting systems
