Support the integration of health, safety, and ERT requirements across project phases, provide technical guidance, monitor performance, and help drive continuous safety improvements to protect employees.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Degree or Gradate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related
• Previous refinery/chemical/LNG plant construction HSE experience is preferred.
• Experience in conducting accident investigations, compliance audits and project health surveys
• Emergency Response qualifications, i.e. confined space, vertical rescue and fire.
• Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
• ICAM or TapRoot Certificate.
• Work at Height, Confined Space Entry, Hazardous Goods Management, First Aid certifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in developing rescue plans for high-risk work areas to ensure effective emergency response.
• Design and deliver training in height and rope rescue, basic fire response, and other emergency scenarios
• Maintain team competency through training records and competency matrices.
• Develop inspection and maintenance schedules for firefighting and rescue equipment, ensuring compliance and record-keeping.
• Contribute to risk assessments and proactively address high-risk areas within scope of responsibility.
• Respond to and coordinate emergency incidents involving the Emergency Response Team.
• Regularly review and update the Emergency Response & Preparedness Plan, core processes, and procedures.
• Collaborate with Operations Emergency Response Team on drills and cyclone readiness.
• Provide technical safety support to projects, ensuring risk controls are embedded in design and construction phases.
• Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and HSE plan requirements.
• Engage with clients, project teams, and subcontractors to advise on safety impacts to project design, cost, and scheduling.
• Support the development of risk assessments, JHAs, mitigation plans, training, and reporting.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned to support compliance with the HSE Management Plan.
