The role is suited to an individual or couple, depending on the skillsets. The role includes living onsite and this will be part of the overall package.
Due to continued growth of the business, we need to expand our management team to meet this demand. Alongside our current management, this is a key role in leading our team of 25+ staff and developing the buisiness to its potential.
The role is varied and engaging, but will generally include the following key tasks.
Operations Management: assisting with oversight of divisions within the business including café, reception, housekeeping, maintenance, farming, water recreation and the like
Human Resources: assisting with management of human resources including hiring and rostering
Health & Safety: assisting with management of Health & Safety onsite
Farming & Encounters: assisting with caring for our animals and facilitating guest encounters
Maintenance & Facilities: assisting with managing maintenance of our facilities, scheduled servicing and our pipeline of projects
Product Development: assisting with developing new products, refining current products and overall pursuit of the best experience for our guests
After Hours Contact: assist with after-hours issues such as guest queries, maintenance emergencies and animal care
What We're Looking For:
Experience in leadership and team management. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Great cultural fit. Culture is very important to our team so we need someone who works well within a team, is able to motivate staff and maintains our culture of a great place to work.
Proficiency in using computers, email, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Newbook booking software (desirable but not essential).
Hospitality or tourism experience. Friendly and well-spoken with a passion for customer service.
Café or barista experience (desirable but not essential).
A hard-working and detail-oriented approach.
Resourcefulness and problem-solving abilities.
Understanding of infrastructure, maintenance and groundskeeping. Able to work with basic hand tools.
Availability during weekends and school holidays. Rosters coordinated within the management team.
