The Flagstaff Hill Golf Club is set in a picturesque area studded with mature gums and 2 creeks that meander through the course. A substantial man-made water storage facility forms part of the 7th tee challenge. The course is surrounded by almost 1,000 homes in inner southern suburban Adelaide.
Flagstaff Hill Golf Club has partnered with Living Choice Australia and are currently undertaking a major development of a retirement village, including a new clubhouse, a virtual golf facility, as well as a world-class 18-hole mini golf facility, due for completion in late May 2025.
It's an exciting time for the Golf Club, and we look forward to soon being able to provide our members, residents and casual golfers with a state-of-the-art golf and recreational experience.
Position Purpose: Join our team and contribute to the overall profitability and success of our Clubroom through the management of our hospitality operations. As the Clubhouse Operations Manager you will oversee our Food & Beverage (F&B) and function & events operations, ensuring financial sustainability and exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the club’s Food & Beverage operations, ensuring budgeted profit and service targets are met.
Supervise, train, and coordinate food and beverage staff, ensuring smooth service delivery.
Manage all events within the clubroom, including weddings, conferences, and corporate bookings.
Develop function and event packages with a focus on current trends.
Respond to function enquiries with detailed quotes, including F&B, venue, and AV components.
Maintain a current calendar of events and booking system, ensuring all relevant bookings and POS systems are up-to-date.
Follow up on all enquiries and quotes in a timely manner.
Plan rosters in advance, keeping within budget, and monitor functions accounts.
Manage the financial aspects of the F&B department, including cost control and reporting.
Supervise, train, and coordinate F&B staff, ensuring smooth service delivery.
Provide daily oversight of the kitchen and bar operations.
Implement and monitor wastage management strategies.
Ensure strict OH&S compliance within F&B operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in hospitality operations, preferably in a club environment.
Proven experience in event management, preferably within a hotel or clubroom setting.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Experience in developing function and event packages.
Compliant National Police Check & WWCC certification.
Current Driver’s License.
Knowledge of the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2020 is highly desirable.
