About the role

GRC Buxton Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team in a full-time office based role located in Port Melbourne, Victoria. You will play a crucial role in preparing accurate cost estimates for tenders, cost plans and ECI's. Collaborate with Clients, Project Managers, Consultants and internal teams to enhance project planning, prepare accurate cost estimates, meet Client's budgets, and ensure successful project delivery.

What you'll be doing

Prepare detailed cost estimates for a range of construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards

Analyze project plans, specifications, and other relevant documentation to identify cost drivers and potential risks

Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other team members to develop comprehensive cost estimates

Provide expert advice and guidance on pricing strategies, subcontractor selection, and value management

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to optimise the estimating process

Contribute to the development and implementation of estimating procedures and systems

Mentor and train junior estimators to support their professional development

Your Experience

5+ Years as an Estimator for a Commercial Builder in Melbourne working on projects of +$30m

You can lead a tender and ECI, including coordinating with design and construction colleagues

You have excellent communication skills with team members, subbies, consultants and clients

You've priced tenders for D&C, novated design, construction management and lump-sum projects

You've prepared cost plans in elemental or trade format.

You have excellent technical knowledge of construction materials, methods and costs

You've worked on Buildsoft Cubit, Cubit Select [Bartender], EstimateOne & CostX
