Position Title Corporate Services Manager

Reports to Chief Executive Officer

Location HQ - Colac

Colac and Otway Disability Accommodation (CODA) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to

supporting people with disability to lead full, inclusive lives in the Colac and Otway region.

CODA has been operating in the Colac Otway Shire since 1979, when a group of parents formed the

Colac Hostel Association with the aim of creating a community-based accommodation option for their

family members. Since then, the organisation has grown and now provides:

Position Overview

The CODA Corporate Services Manager is responsible for the leadership of financial management,

operational efficiency and strategic development of the organization's corporate services.

The role is part of the Executive Management Team.

This role involves leading the areas of finance, property, contracts, IT and payroll. The role

works closely with the Service Transformation leader, the CEO and the Board.

The Corporate Services Manager fosters a positive and supportive work environment, contributing to

the overall success of CODA services.

The Corporate Services Manager will support CODA to provide quality, client-focussed services for

people with disabilities, enabling them to live more independently, pursue their goals, and

participate fully in their communities by providing them with reasonable and necessary supports and

services.

The Business Manager will actively lead:

Finance operations • Ensure high quality, timely and fit for purpose financial reporting across

the organisation.

• Develop and manage budgets, track financial performance, conduct system audits, develop and

generate meaningful financial and other reports.

Embrace a business partnering approach to deliver Corporate Services

Ensure the efficient operation of the ICT function

Ensure the effective operation of property across all regions

A focus on delivering continuous improvement

• Lead the analysis of financial and operational data to best inform the organisation and Board of

the ongoing financial state of the organisation.

• Work with operational managers to develop their financial literacy to ensure that they are

working within the parameters of NDIS strictures.

• Ensure that theCEO is fully informed of the Financial position of the organisation at all

times.

• Lead all commercial negotiations with involvement of Finance and other functions as

required

• Provide a strong service approach to internal stakeholders of Corporate Services by establishing

and managing against clear service protocols

• Provide positive education to individuals and teams around best practice and contemporary

approaches

• Utilise expertise to provide insights against data and performance trends to enable functional

leaders to improve performance

• Ensure adherence to NDIS regulations, guidelines, and standards.

• Management of Fleet (owned and grey fleet) arrangements. Determine and manage optimal

arrangements that provide best financial outcome for clients and our organisation.

• Lead the business through annual insurance coverage process.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's strategic plan.

• Undertake special projects and other duties on an ad-hoc basis as

directed by the CEO.

• Prepare and submit an annual ICT operating and capital plan that reflects deep understanding of

internal client requirements, external policy and client preferences and current performance data

• Educate and build skills of staff to optimise use of ICT infrastructure

• Ensure applications are linked to minimise double keying and other duplication of

effort.

• Ensure that data collected is able to be retrieved and used to inform the operations of our

organisation.

• Lead the review and identification of alternate business sytems that streamline and enhance

business processes

• Ensure clear processes and policies exists to manage and operate ICT processes

• Establish and manage scheduled property maintainance and ensure timely response to all

maintenance requirements to ensure full compliance with funding and policy requirements

• Manage all property related matters for the organisation to reduce risk and provide functional

and safe facilities.

• Manage all aspects of physical security in all locations.

• Provide assistance to the organisation and its functional areas to streamline activities and

processes

• Provide positive education to individuals and teams around best practice and contemporary

approaches in all corporate service areas

• Develop and maintain risk data that enables organisational performance measures to be

automatically produced

• Provide leadership to positively challenge the business to continually streamline and improve

processes

Team leadership and management

• Lead by example, coach, mentor and motivate staff to ensure effective individual growth,

management, accountability and compliance within an inclusive, productive and supportive team

environment

• Set and measure clear objectives, targets and outcomes for Corporate Services staff and

departments within CODA.

• Actively support the activities of the organisation and the Leadership Group

• Disseminate, implement and ensure compliance of policies and procedures- new and

existing

• Build and maintain relationships with staff, participants, families, and other

stakeholders.

• Supervise and mentor staff, providing support and guidance to enhance their

capabilities.

Personal Profile

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting related discipline.

Functional Experience and expertise

• Demonstrate a high degree of financial, analytical, numeracy and problem solving skills and

excellent commercial acumen

• Excellent ICT skills

• Design and implement business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of goals

• Knowledge of legal and operational risks in a human services environment

• Project management skills

• Tender and or procurement/service acquisition

Career Experience

• Demonstrated ability to lead a multidisciplinary team

• Experience in a similar corporate role essential.

• Experience in Not for Profit or NDIS environment is preferred but not essential.

Terms and Conditions of Employment

• Full time, ongoing

• Location: Based at CODA offices in Colac with occasional regional travel as required.

• An individual contract will apply

• Remuneration package is negotiable based on experience

• In order for CODA to fulfil funding and duty of care obligations, the position includes ongoing

requirements that must be met by the employee. These include mandatory training, updating Working

with Children Checks, NDIS Screening Check.
