An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. This position is an office based full time role.

Benson Machines has been established for over 110 years and is a progressive machinery supplier situated in modern facilities in Auburn. We are renowned as the industry leader in our niche that supplies capital equipment and services to a very wide cross-section of Australian manufacturing and railway industries.

Duties Include:

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Data entry of Purchase Orders and Supplier Invoices into Xero accounting software.

Debit Card and Bank Account reconciliations.

Sales Invoicing.

General administrative support to the Managing Director

Management of office supplies

Filing, archive management and database management

Ad Hoc administrative and finance duties as needed.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

Australian Residency

Minimum 10 years’ Bookkeeping experience.Tertiary qualifications essential.

A thorough knowledge of Australian Tax Legislation, particularly in relation to GST.

Ability to liaise with stakeholders, both internal and external, at all levels.

Well developed verbal and written communication skills.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Excellent time management, prioritising and organisational skills.

Experience using Xero/MYOB accounting software is essential.

Medium-Advanced skills in Word, Excel, Database and email.
