A fast-paced and friendly bookkeeping firm based in Sydney's Northern Beaches are looking to find a skilled and motivated Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis.

💼 About the Role

You’ll be hands-on with all aspects of bookkeeping, payroll, and client liaison, with a focus on clients in the fast food industry. This is a great opportunity to step into a dynamic role where no two days are the same—and where your contribution is genuinely valued.

Key Responsibilities

Managing and mentoring junior accounts staff

End-to-end Accounts Payable processing

Bank account monitoring and fund transfers

Bank and petty cash reconciliations

Month-end processing including journals, accruals, and prepayments

Payroll processing (weekly and fortnightly)

Employee records and payroll compliance

BAS preparation and submission

P&L review and variance analysis

Balance sheet reconciliations

Regular communication and reporting to clients

What You’ll Bring

A degree in Accounting or Certificate III in Bookkeeping/Payroll (or equivalent experience)

Experience in a similar bookkeeping or assistant accountant role

Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Strong written and verbal communication

A client-focused, can-do attitude

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
