About the role

We are seeking a friendly and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team at Baxter Park Medical Centre in Frankston South, Victoria. This is a casual role, providing you with the flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients in a professional and courteous manner

Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment calendar effectively

Accurately processing patient registrations, verifying insurance information, and collecting payments

Handling incoming phone calls and responding to patient inquiries in a timely manner

Maintaining a clean and organised reception area

Providing general administrative support to the medical team as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively

Computer literacy and proficiency in using medical practice management software

A compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with patients

A team player who is adaptable and willing to learn
