About the role

The City of Swan is currently looking for a Marketing Officer to join the Marketing and Design team on a fixed term part-time basis (42 hours a fortnight) until 9 January 2026.

By delivering innovative marketing campaigns and collateral, you will help to raise the profile of the City.. By working closely with our internal Business Units, you will deliver marketing campaigns that promote our places, programs, services and activities, and enhance the City’s reputation.

Your role will be fast-paced and diverse – from producing brochures and posters, to creating digital content, to rolling out advertising campaigns, to producing signage. As Marketing Officer, you will work closely and collaboratively with the City’s graphic designers and wider Communications and Engagement Business Unit (Media and Communications, Community Engagement and Digital).

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Develop and implement innovative marketing campaigns that enhance the profile and reputation of the City of Swan
  • Work in partnership with internal Business Units to deliver marketing campaigns that promote their projects, services and facilities.
  • Ensure marketing campaigns and collateral are designed with our customers and community in mind.
  • Ensure marketing campaigns utilise the most effective mix of platforms and materials to maximise reach and engagement, including print, digital, advertising, in-house, signage and organic/City-owned channels.
  • Ensure outputs are completed to a high standard, on budget and within agreed timeframes.
  • Work collaboratively with the City’s graphic designers by providing clear, creative, and market-driven design briefs, to ensure designs are effective and appealing to the target audience.

About you

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and measuring marketing campaigns using both traditional and digital platforms
  • Demonstrated experience in collecting, analysing and interpreting marketing data and metrics
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence
  • A satisfactory National Police Certificate
  • Availability to work 3 days a week

The salary for this position will be from $91,194.72 to $108,194.90 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
