Position Overview: As the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our fleet, which includes 10 Prime Movers and 15 trailers, as well as managing a nationwide fleet of 10 vans per state on a subcontract basis. You will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient transport operations, maintaining high safety standards, and optimizing resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate the daily operations of LMI's truck fleet, ensuring timely and efficient transport services.

Oversee subcontractors and ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet performance and reduce operational costs.

Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure all trucks and trailers are in safe and compliant working condition.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain operations.

Maintain accurate records of fleet performance, subcontractor activities, and compliance documentation.

Train and mentor staff, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency within the transport team.

Handle any issues or emergencies that arise during transport operations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in transport management or logistics, preferably within the haulage industry.

Strong knowledge of vehicle operations, maintenance, and safety regulations.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Ability to effectively manage subcontractors and maintain positive working relationships.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in using transport management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
