ABOUT THE COMPANY

My client is a well-respected commercial builder delivering a steady mix of fit out and new build projects throughout NSW. Their focus spans across education, commercial, retail, and healthcare, with project values ranging from $1M to $20M. With a strong pipeline heading into 2025 and a reputation for quality and delivery, they’re looking to grow their pre-construction team with a confident and detail-oriented Estimator ready to take the next step in their career.

ABOUT THE POSITION

You’ll work closely with the Senior Estimator and Directors to prepare accurate and competitive tenders for upcoming commercial construction projects. You’ll get exposure to both fast-paced fit outs and complex structural builds, with support from a hands-on leadership team. This role is ideal for someone with 2–3 years of local estimating experience who’s eager to level up and gain end-to-end estimating ownership.

DUTIES

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and scope of works
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing
• Conduct quantity take-offs and build tender BOQs
• Assist with cost planning and budgeting for live projects

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 2–3 years’ experience as an Estimator in commercial construction
• Experience across both fit out and new build projects
• Solid understanding of construction methodology and pricing
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Buildsoft, CostX, Cubit or similar)
