This company is looking for an experienced Estimator to join their growing and dynamic team of likeminded professionals. Located in Sydney, this firm operates all across NSW with the bulk of their projects located in the Sydney Metro region.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Working closely with the Construction Manager, Project Manager and delivery team you will measure and calculate the cost of materials and work, price projects, and create tender submissions. You will receive the guidance and support needed to successfully secure projects for the company and in turn play a big part in the growth and development of the company.

DUTIES

• Prepare tenders, take-offs, and cost estimates
• Review supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive proposals
• Work with senior estimators to develop budgets and cost breakdowns
• Maintain accurate project cost records and assist in bid presentations
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure project success

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Previous exposure estimating commercial D&C fit-out projects is advantageous
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred)
