About the role

This is a full-time role based in Penrith, NSW for the Hix Group, a leading multi trades company. As the Electrical Projects Estimator and Operations Lead, you will be responsible for managing the estimation and operational aspects of the company's electrical projects, ensuring their successful delivery.

What you'll be doing

Preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for Electrical projects, including materials, labour, and equipment requirements

Ability to purchase all relevant materials required for the project

Developing and implementing project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery

Monitoring project progress and making adjustments as needed to optimise efficiency and profitability

Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve any issues or challenges

Continuously seeking ways to improve estimation and operational processes to drive continuous improvement

Providing mentorship and guidance to the whole team

What we're looking for

Significant experience (5+ years) in electrical estimation and operations management, preferably within the commercial or industrial construction sectors

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements

Proficient in the use of plumbing estimating software and other relevant tools

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a range of stakeholders

Qualified NSW Electrician
