The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic payroll professional with Aurion experience to join a supportive and professional team environment.

You will work closely with a collaborative group of HR and payroll experts who are passionate about accurate and timely service delivery.

This position offers valuable exposure to federal government processes and will significantly strengthen your APS payroll experience – opening the door to future growth opportunities.

A baseline clearance is highly advantageous, making you well-positioned for long-term career progression within the APS.

The Role

You will support the payroll function by ensuring accurate and efficient processing of payroll services, in line with compliance and legislation requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
• Process payroll transactions and adjustments using Aurion
• Respond to payroll queries and provide excellent customer service
• Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity within the system
• Support end-of-pay-cycle activities including reconciliations and reporting
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements

The Ideal Person

You are a motivated and detail-oriented payroll professional, ideally with previous experience working with Aurion in a government environment.

You thrive in a structured environment, value compliance and accuracy, and bring a customer service focus to your work.

Your ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, combined with your positive attitude and willingness to pitch in where needed, will be highly valued by the team.

If you hold a Baseline clearance (or can obtain one), this will further strengthen your application. This is a fantastic stepping stone if you are looking to consolidate and grow your career within the Australian Public Service.

Salary / Rate

• $69k – $75k + Super
• 6 Month Non ongoing
• Baseline Clearance or the ability to obtain is required for this role
