As we continue our rapid growth in Australia, we are looking for a skilled Solar Compliance Officer to play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless, compliant, and efficient metering process for solar installations.
Key Responsibilities
Metering Review & Compliance – Review sales job details, ensure all required metering information is collected, and follow up with the team as needed.
Pre-Installation Metering Checks (Builder Customers) – Gather essential information, including electricity bills, meter photos, and move-in details, to support accurate metering setup.
Post-Installation Coordination – Verify installation details, submit metering requests, liaise with retailers and metering providers, and ensure accurate tracking in SimPRO.
Meter Upgrades & Non-Solar Projects – Coordinate 3-phase upgrades, board upgrades, new connections, and abolishments, ensuring smooth execution with SA Power Networks and metering providers.
Warranty Pack Preparation – Compile and send warranty documentation, verify approvals and compliance documents, and ensure payments are finalised before issuing customer packs.
General Solar Team Support – Assist with additional solar-related tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of Metering Rules & Regulations – Understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements.
Strong Communication Skills – Ability to liaise professionally with customers, internal teams, retailers, and metering providers.
Attention to Detail – Ensuring all metering documentation and approvals are accurate.
Organised & Process-Driven – Ability to manage multiple tasks, track requests, and follow up efficiently.
Independent & Proactive – Taking initiative to resolve metering issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
Resilience & Problem-Solving – Confidence to address metering complications and find timely solutions.
Record-Keeping Skills – Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in SimPRO.
Experience Required
Strong background in customer service or coordination roles, with a focus on attention to detail and efficiency.
Proven experience in solar metering coordination or a similar role in the renewable energy sector preferred.
Familiarity with metering rules and regulations, particularly in Australia, is preferred.
Prior experience working with meter providers, retailers, and utilities such as SA Power Networks preferred.
Experience with SimPRO or similar CRM systems preferred.
Ability to work independently and proactively, managing multiple tasks and ensuring compliance.
