About the role
This part-time Fundraising and Events Coordinator role is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the growth and development of the Immune Deficiencies Foundation of Australia (IDFA). Based in Wollongong, NSW, you will be responsible for organising and coordinating a range of fundraising events and initiatives to support the important work of the IDFA.
What you'll be doing
Developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to identify, plan and execute a diverse range of fundraising activities and events
Coordinating all aspects of fundraising events, including budgeting, logistics, marketing, volunteer management and post-event evaluation
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, volunteers and the local community
Identifying new fundraising opportunities and sources of funding to grow the organisation's income
Managing the fundraising database and ensuring accurate record keeping and reporting
Promoting the IDFA's mission and programs through effective communication and engagement with the public
What we're looking for
Proven experience in fundraising, event management or community engagement, preferably within the not-for-profit sector
Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
Creativity and innovation in developing new fundraising initiatives and ideas
Familiarity with fundraising databases and donor management software
A passion for supporting the IDFA's mission and making a positive impact in the community
