In a rare opening, we are currently seeking a motivated, passionate, Second-in-Charge (2IC) to join our small, passionate team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in luxury retail (ideally Bridal), with exceptional customer service skills, and a deep love for the bridal industry.
Role Overview:
As the 2IC, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager with the day-to-day operations of the store alongside a strong focus on working intimately with our brides.
Key Requirements:
Experience in in the bridal industry.
Experience in retail management is a bonus – but not a must. Leadership experience, alongside natural leadership skills, common sense, work ethic and organisation is!
Passion for the bridal industry and a keen eye for fashion, trends, and luxury goods.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Outstanding customer service skills with a strong focus on exceeding customer expectations.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
This role will entail 2 days a week (often into the early evening) plus a Saturday each week. Flexibility to work weekends and/or evenings is a must.
Flexibility to work at our local design and production headquarters as needed, including for special projects, training, or other operational support.
A polished, professional appearance and demeanour
Bonus: Comfortable in front of the camera for content creation (experience with social media or video production is a plus).
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience: Provide exceptional, personalized service to each bride and her party. Ensure that every customer feels valued and receives expert advice during their bridal journey. Ensure each bride leaves our stunning boutique in awe of the amazing service they received, having enjoyed every moment of trying on our collections and customising our beautiful gowns.
Assist with Store Operations: Support the Store Manager in all aspects of daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and maintaining the store’s luxury ambiance.
Sales and Targets: Assist in achieving and exceeding sales targets by driving sales performance through effective team leadership and customer engagement. Actively participate in sales consultations and bridal fittings.
Inventory & Stock Management: Assist with stock control and inventory management as well as Quality Control procedures.
Training & Development: Provide training and guidance to new team members, ensuring they understand the store’s processes, customer service standards, and product knowledge.
Store Presentation: Ensure the store is always presented to the highest standards, from the display of product to the overall ambiance.
Content Creation: Support the store’s marketing efforts through content creation, including social media posts, styling tips, behind-the-scenes videos, or other promotional materials. If you're comfortable in front of the camera, you’ll have the opportunity to help showcase our store’s bridal collections in a fun and engaging way. Experience in content creation is a bonus.
Desirable Qualifications:
Knowledge of bridal gown designers, styles, and industry trends.
Previous experience with point-of-sale systems and stock management tools.
Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation for marketing purposes (e.g., Instagram, TikTok).

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION
This is a part time roll encompassing two weekdays (to be determined) in addition to a Saturday each week.
This position is based primarily at the Church St Hawthorn Boutique
A probationary period of 3 + months applies
