Position Overview and Key Responsibilities

· We are a leading, private agricultural grower, packer and marketer on Atherton Tablelands FNQ, of premium quality fresh mangoes and limes. We value innovation, teamwork, respect, pride, our staff & sustainable practices. All of the products we grow and sell are fresh, nutritious, unprocessed, and grown on our very own farms.

· Position reports directly to the Manager.

· We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Packing Shed Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate can demonstrate a strong work ethic, be involved in various aspects of our farming operations and ensuring high standards. This is a physically demanding role requiring attention to detail, flexibility depending on the needs of the farm, and the ability to work under varying conditions.

· You will be responsible for the supervision and daily management of the packing shed. Constant pack line and employee monitoring whilst the pack lines are in operation, lead & manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment and performance management of pack shed employees.

· Ensure all orders are packed to the highest quality, overseeing operations in a modern packing facility of post-harvest operations, by ensuring the fruit is packed, cooled and stored within benchmark times to maximise quality, yield and operational efficiency.

· General farm tasks to be performed also including but not limited to irrigation, pruning, weeding, pruning and some maintaining of farm equipment. Work is conducted outdoors and, in the packing shed in all weather conditions.

· Ensure correct procedures are followed to maintain quality and assist with packing produce for distribution. Priorities include maintain efficiencies of pack line, packing staff and pack shed procedures (from unloading fruit to dispatch of fruit) to ensure maximum quality and yield, tracking and reporting of packing performance and wastage.

· Help with dispatch and truck loading following customer’s requirements.

· Maintain compliance and keep accurate daily records with Company, WPHS, QA, Food Safety & environmental objectives, Policies & Procedures & complying with HACCP.

· Paid in line with the Horticultural Award Pay rates

Qualifications & Skills:

· Experience in a fruit packing operation in the horticulture and produce industry with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in mango and lime farming or a similar agricultural environment.

· Certificate IV in Horticulture

· Diploma of Agribusiness Management

· Certified Project Management Associate (IPMA Level D)

· Fundamentals of e-Commerce Level Professional

· Demonstrated strong leadership skills – ability to lead a team to success

· Ability to identify opportunities to maximise efficiencies

· Awareness and respect for compliance, food safety, and quality assurance requirements

· Excellent planning and organisation skills - ability to take responsibility and time manage.

· Driver’s license and access to your own transport.

· Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken) for effective record-keeping and communication within the team. Ability to listen & communicate effectively in English, Taiwanese and Mandarin & relate to a wide variety of cultures
